The basic objective is the dissemination of European film culture, with special attention to the emerging achievements, giving the opportunity to incorporates new cinematic´s media expression. At the same time, it encourages the meeting of the new creator´s work, and show artists a perspective on the most recent and significant international productions.
The Festival also offers an annual meeting place for the European film industry. Besides the two competitive sections, one for feature films and other documentaries, specific events are programmed such cinema advertising, seminars, concerts and other cultural activities.
The Seville European Film Festival is held yearly, usually in November.
